Welcome to Hunters Bend PTO

Hunters Bend Elementary School is very proud to have an active Parent-Teacher Organization. Every parent, teacher, and staff member at Hunters Bend is automatically enrolled as a member of the PTO. There are no membership dues.

The Hunters Bend PTO organizes various fundraisers throughout the year to benefit Hunters Bend Elementary School’s students, teachers and faculty. The PTO also offers services such as coordinating volunteers, communication of events and activities, creating the school directory, and so much more. Some of the more popular events include, “Hound Dog Hoe Down” in the fall, “Jingle Bell Walk” in December, and the “End of the Year Picnic”.

In addition to providing volunteer opportunities, the PTO raises a significant amount of money for Hunters Bend. Through our fundraisers, we provide many needed "extras" including our computer teacher, technology improvements and teacher start up money each fall.

The PTO Board meets monthly, with meetings open to all members. Monthly meeting minutes are posted on this site under “Minutes”. We invite all parents to get involved with your PTO!!

Volunteer Opportunities

Without a doubt, the most critical part of our Hunters Bend activities – both inside and outside the classroom – is our parent volunteers. For years we have been able to rely on the volunteer spirit of our HBES families, and we’re certain that this year will be no exception.

Helping out around the Bend is the perfect way to be involved in your child’s education, make an invaluable contribution to our teachers and staff, and firm up the foundation for years to come.
